Third Full Week of School
Team Columbia:
Time is really moving fast. We are already in our third full week. We are gearing up to launch the full extent of our Eagle Hour. I know the students are ready as well as you are. Please remember to reiterate the expectations of Eagle Hour with emphasis on the following:
- Keep the lunch areas clean. Make sure you pick up after yourselves.
- Stay seated in the lunch areas at all times.
- Students must be in an activity during Eagle Hour. No loitering or hanging in the hallways.
- Attend the appropriate lunch. (9th & 11th Grade 11:35-12:05) (10th & 12th Grade 12:05-12:35)
We would like to express our appreciation to our teachers. We know being in Advisory all this time has had its challenges. However, we are truly working as a team for the success of our Eagle Hour. It has not gone unnoticed.
Remember, we have to be sharp, attentive, and steadfast in our school-wide rules and expectations for Eagle Hour to be a success.
Lastly, we are seeing some good teaching and learning in various classrooms. Remember, have your objectives posted along with your before, during, and after activities. Work in the power zone, make sure you are circulating assisting students where possible, and ensure students are engaged by providing activities the require critical thinking, writing, investigating, listening, speaking, and collaborating.
We would like to extend a hardy Eagle Welcome to Ms. Amanda Tumacder. She will be our new Social Studies Teacher replacing Mr. Taylor. She will start on Wednesday. She will be located in room 120. Please stop by and say hello and make her welcomed to the team.
Have a great week of teaching and learning!
