The School That Leads

May 28, 2019

Dear Little Hawks,

Greetings from The School That Leads! On behalf of City High School, I thank our community, families, staff, and students for an excellent school year. We excelled in academics, the arts, community service, athletics, and more. From our strong average ACT score, to our magnificent music programs—4th Avenue Jazz winning a grand championship at competition, and Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble being selected to perform at the Iowa Bandmaster’s Association Conference, to our best in the state drama department lighting up the stage with Les Mis, to being one of the state’s top ranked Mock Trial programs, to our state champion African American History quiz bowl team, to national award winning journalism, to many thrilling victories in athletic competition, to our highly decorated Best Buddies organization, it has been an outstanding year. Thank you for your support!
