Kindness Challenge
Athena, Raegan, Gwyneth, and Ivy are leading a kindness challenge in class. Ivy says, "I really think the kindness challenge is making people feel good." Athena says, "I think that everyone will feel happy." Raegan says, "Have fun with friends and be kind." Gwyneth says, "And don't forget to smile."
Insect Study
Jose, Amanuel, Riley, and Gabe are making an insect book to kick off our science unit on Insects.
Jose and Amanuel said, "Insects are important because they pollinate flowers that become our food." Riley and Gabe say, "It was fun to learn about and draw the Black Widow even though it's not an insect. Spiders are in a group called Arachnids."
Planting Seeds
Lillian says, "Planting seeds is fun!" Bea says, "We will learn about sprouting seeds." Ava says, "plants are awesome." Jessie says, "We are going to measure the sprouts like scientists."
SNACK - We are out of snack. If you would like, send in fish crackers or other quick to serve snack to share with the class it would be greatly appreciated.
Reading
Hooray, Hooray! Several students have worked ahead and finished the Second Grade Reading Book! They will be working on novel studies for the rest of the school year. Way to go!
