Syring NEWS - June, 2016
Dear Syring Families:
June is a very busy month as we wrap up our school year. Our learning continues right until the last day of school. We encourage our students every day to FINISH STRONG, and we hope that you will do the same.
The Buy One Get One Bookfair is happening through June 9. This is an excellent opportunity to stock up on books for your child for summer reading.
The morning of June 8 is an all-school dress rehearsal for our end of year concert, the Syring Celebration of Learning. Please join us Thursday June 9 at 10:00 am at the Performing Arts Center to watch our students perform. They have worked hard preparing for their performance and we hope you can join us. There is a link below to the livestream if you are not able to join us but are able to watch online. Also, DVDs of the performance are available for just $10. Forms were sent home with each child and extra forms are available in the Syring office.
Friday, June 10 is our jump rope for heart event. We will have a follow up visit from the Bright Smiles "tooth fairies" on June 10 as well, doing six month cleanings and check ups on those students with permission forms. They were here approximately six months ago and 90 students received cleanings and many also received sealants. Also in the afternoon some of the class of 2016 graduates from Swartz Creek High School will be coming in caps and gowns to visit our students.
Our last day of school is Wednesday, June 15 and is a 1/2 day in the morning. Report cards will be sent home with students if all fines have been paid. If fines are owed, we ask that parents stop in the office to pay fines and pick up report cards.
Sincerely,
Michelle Telliga, Principal
