The following videos illustrate standards-based learning. They provide an overview of how educators are approaching standards-based learning in different content areas and grades.

WEST SIDE HOLIDAY DRIVE
MESA is pleased to partner with West Side Benevolent Circle again this year to collect items for Mansfield families in need during the holiday season. There are two ways to help: Adopt a Family and a Clothing Drive from now through Friday, December 2.
MESA is sponsoring several children as part of West Side's holiday drive. Please use the SignUp Genius: https://bit.ly/MESAWestSide2022 if you would like to purchase an item from a child's wishlist. The SignUp Genius has instructions on how to mark donations so they get to the correct family. Donations should be dropped off at Barrows Insurance Agency (215 N. Main Street) by Friday, December 2.
We are also collecting winter hats, gloves, mittens, socks, and underwear for West Side. Each item should be new with tags attached. All sizes are needed for these items. iCARE Reading Volunteers Needed
Kim Piro is soliciting volunteers this year to serve as classroom readers to benefit her "iCARE” (Introducing Children to Acceptance through Reading and Education) program began 19 years ago to teach students in grades preschool thru 5 about their special needs peers. Books focus on a variety of different disabilities and are available in the school’s library.
If you are interested in volunteering, it can be very rewarding and takes as little as half an hour of your time. If you are an interested parent who would like to read one of these books to a classroom, please call/text Kim Piro at 781-630-0463 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also register to be a reader online at www.thejamiefund.org. Go to the website and click where it asks you to volunteer. Readings will start in January and go through February/March at all three elementary schools.
Jordan/Jackson's Teacher Appreciation Dinner
MESA is excited for the return of our traditional teacher appreciation dinners during parent-teacher conferences. We've had to do things a little differently the past two years because of COVID, but will once again be offering a full dinner to teachers to enjoy during evening conferences this fall.
We are looking for donations of side items, beverages, centerpieces and paper products. Please see the SignUp Genius link below for more information and to sign up.
