HOPE: So many need your support in thought and deed following the devastation of Hurricane Florence. How will you give hope to those in need?

ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 17, 2018
Hurricane Florence: Thank you for working so hard to prepare for Hurricane Florence. We were fortunate that we did not have a direct path through Raleigh as predicted, and although we lost power, you all took steps to prevent it. As a result, we did not have water damage from refrigerators and hopefully will have minimal electric damage from power surges after the power is restored. If you have damage at home or other family matters that concern you, please reach out to us so we can help. We hope you all were safe and made it through unscathed.
Teacher Assistant Appreciation Week: It is Teacher Assistant Appreciation Week this week! Please reach out to our wonderful staff members to let them know how much we value them and what they do, day after day, to help our school be the best. Our TAs are the glue to our organization, and we could not do what we do without them. Just think of all that our TAs do in addition to their instruction in their homeroom class and the many daily duties that they perform. How many times have they covered you for an IEP, substituted for you when a sub could not be found, allowed you to leave early for a personal need? That being said, this is a golden opportunity for your class and you to reach out and say thanks in your own special way to our colleagues and friends.
Better Together Fundraiser: Please continue to market the Better Together Fundraiser with your weekly communication with Parents. Our goal is $20,000 so that this year's budget will be funded. If we don't reach our the goal items will need to be cut from the budget. Please take very seriously our need to partner with the PTA on this. I think that we would all agree that a no fuss fundraiser is superior to some of the alternatives. Thanks in advance for your help with this. See the Sunday Message for more info on the fundraiser.
Leaving Campus: If you leave campus anytime between 8:30-4:00, please inform Kaye or an Administrator. For security reasons (emergencies/lock downs) as well as required personnel guidelines, it is important we know whether you are on campus. It would be a tragedy to send a First Responder into the building and in harms way to find you if you are not actually on campus. Thank you for your support.
