APRIL IS AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH!
Good Afternoon Arcola Families
As we prepare for the return to 4 days in the 4th quarter there will be alot of important information coming out to help families prepare. New teacher assignments for families switching to HL were sent yesterday afternoon to families who were approved for hybrid learning. There were a few families whom we simply could not accommodate. We have very limited space in school so every request was considered on a case by case basis, these decisions are not easy and not preferential on a personal basis.
FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE NEW TO HL FOR 4TH QUARTER
For families in HL, there are some changes coming. If you are just changing to HL, transportation will not be available until April 27th. Bus routes are being mapped and spacing on buses is being planned. You will need to check your parentvue to find your bus information and we will need you to report that back to us (we will be sending a form out for your to complete once this information is available.) It is important that we know how you plan to get your child home.
FOR FAMILIES WHO HAVE BEEN IN HYBRID LEARNING:
Your bus information may change. It is important that you check your parentvue after April 15th to see if your bus route, stop or time has changed. You too will be asked to complete a transportation form. Whether your bus information changed or not, I ask that you take a minute to complete the form that will be sent after April 15th so that we can share with your teachers and other Arcola staff how your child gets home. While you are keeping track of your children, we are tracking on all the children so your support and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
The PTA has arranged for Sprout School Supply kits again this year. These make back to school shopping so easy! Kits are delivered to school ready for your child when school begins in the fall!
FOR PARENTS WITH STUDENTS IN 3rd, 4th and 5th GRADES
Please look below for an important survey about SOL testing. We need your input so we can plan these state required tests. Please see below for the new and improved testing schedule. Please forward your specific questions to our Assistant Principal, Kate Puschak at mailto:kate.puschak@lcps.org
Just for a little fun for all students and teachers, I have decided that we will have CRAZY HAT DAY on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week! Snap some pictures and tweet away!
We look forward to seeing everyone in morning meeting on Tuesday, 8:00 AM! Monday is a student holiday so there will be no morning meeting. On Friday, April 16th, the day will be all asynchronous after morning meeting.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
