Book Fair
Thanks to everyone who came to the book fair! We had over $6000 in sales. We were able to give over $2000 to teachers and the library! We will have another book fair in February, and a BOGO Book Fair in May!
6th-grade students have the opportunity to participate in The Road to Success Reading Program. They track their minutes using the Beanstack App. There are five prizes, and one lucky student will win a bike at the end of the year. They had an orientation last Tuesday.

Oct. 3rd- Payson Area Band Bash (combined band concert for MNMS, PJHS, and PHS band students)
Oct. 6th - NetSmartz Assembly
Oct. 10th - 11th - The Leonardo visits 7th grades
Oct. 17th - Choir Concert @ PHS 6:00 p.m.
Oct. 18th - Term 1 ends!
Oct. 19th-20th - Fall Break (no school)
If Math were an animal?
Mrs. Luckau had a short assignment the other day that I think some parents might appreciate. I asked my students if math was an animal, what type of animal would it be and why.

Afterschool Clubs
It's never too late to join after-school clubs! We have sewing, quilting, ping pong, 3D printing, lacrosse, crafts, movies & meditation, science, rollerblading, sports, open computers, underwater robotics and math. Check out the website to register and for more information: www.bit.ly/mtneboclubs
This year's after-school Boys & Girls Clubs will run every school day Tuesdays-Fridays starting at 2:45. There are buses that can take students home at 4:40 or you can make your own arrangements for students to get home. Students can participate for free in clubs that include crafts, STEM, underwater robotics, lacrosse, card/board games, ping pong, math, science, rollerblading etc. Students receive snacks before and after the club each day. Math Club!
Math Club starts next week after school on Thursdays in room 203 with Mrs. Luckau. At math club we do fun math, puzzles, math games, and prepare for math competitions against other schools in the district. This is open to both 6th and 7th graders. Come try it out!
