Can I tell you a story about a courageous and thoughtful young lady named Pocahontas . She loved climbing trees and running races. Pocahontas begged her father to save John Smith's life . Pocahontas had married John Rolfe at an early age in her life . Pocahontas was not only courageous but was a very active and a fun loving young lady.
Pocahontas and Her Exciting Life
Let me tell you about a young girl and how she enjoyed life. The name Pocahontas means playful one. Everyone loved her because she was playful and kind. Pocahontas did cartwheels , she run races, and climbing trees. She was faster then any other children. She would challenge young men to handsprings. Pocahontas became friends with the Jamestown people. She helped them to get food. I hope you enjoyed hearing about Pocahontas as a young girl. Please continue listening about her as she grows.
Pocahontas was Courageous
The start of a new friendship between a young girl and a captain and how she saved his life. Pocahontas met and became friends with one of the colonists named Captain John Smith. Captain John Smith said that her appearance, intelligence and friendly personality "much exceeded any of the rest of the Powhatan's people." It is believed that Pocahontas saved Captain John Smith's life when the Powhatan's we're going to execute him. She begged her father to not kill him. The friendship between Pocahontas and Captain John Smith ended up saving his life.
Pocahontas Marries John Rolfe
Pocahontas fell in love and married John Rolfe of the English Colony. John Rolfe was a Virginia planter and colonial official. He sold tobacco to England. Pocahontas met John Rolfe when she was a prisoner of the English for a year. Pocahontas and John Rolfe got married and eventually gave birth to a son named Thomas Rolfe. Pocahontas and John Rolfe met while she was a prisoner, they fell in love and got married and had a son named Thomas.
Conclusion
I just shared a story with you about a courageous and thoughtful young lady named Pocahontas. She was a young girl that enjoyed her life. She became friends with an English Colonist and ended up saving his life. Pocahontas fell in love and married an English Colonist named John Rolfe.
