The Nicholson Museum
By Jason
On the 13th of August, 2013, we went to the Nicholson Museum with Epping Heights Public School. We first saw some artifacts. They were very pretty. There was swords, old bowls and stones.
We then went to see statues and mummies. Some were pretty but others were badly wrapped. The statues were white because when the people cleaned it, it took off the colours it, the instuctor told us. We saw Horus mistaken as a girl but when they did a CAT scan they saw a conclusive answer-a very visible penis. These things was the new things I learnt: Horus was mistaken as a girl and stues were not supposed to be white. I thought this was one of my top five excursions.
Overall, this was an excellent excursion and one of my best.
