Restorative Practices
Why Restorative Practices
Our goal is to enhance and continually build a culture of mutual respect and understanding at Fallbrook High by developing our use of Restorative Practices to develop community, manage conflict and tension by repairing any harm as well as to help in building relationships.

The Talking Piece
Please read the following blog, and you will see how important the talking piece is for Circles. After reading I hope we will find a talking piece that is meaningful and sacred to our classroom Circles. http://www.circle-space.org/2010/06/24/the-restorative-justice-talking-piece-tangible-and-physical-abstract-and-soulfu
Circles at FHS
We have started running circles in many of our classrooms, at FHS. One thing I have noticed is that students enjoy having a voice. Just this past Wednesday I participated in a Circle with 35 students. The prompt was, "what do you like about FHS", and the students were crystal clear that they love the Spirit at FHS. Many students also commented that the school feels more positive and upbeat! Looks like community is being built at FHS!
