Work Bee - Sun, Aug. 7th at 10 am

At the beginning of each school year, we have a work bee to help get the school and playground ready for the year. This year we want to make sure everyone can plan ahead to make the Work Bee a success! Remember when we work together we can keep tuition costs down and keep our school looking great! Thanks for your help!

We need all school families to come and help clean up our school!

Troy Church Family is welcome to come and join the fun of helping :)

  • Sunday, August 7th, starting at 10 am
  • Church Picnic to follow! (Bring a dish to pass)

Some items we need help with:

  • Deep cleaning the kitchen and main bathrooms
  • Pulling weeds around outer edges of playground and in the flower garden near school building (playground sides and near parking lot). Thankfully the weed barrier is working in the wood chipped area. Some weeds are growing around the edges of the barrier.
  • Vacuuming edges of classrooms and Dusting classrooms (including the library).
  • Cleaning windows and dusting window ledges
  • Dusting/Cleaning lockers and cubbies (sticker remover may be needed)
  • Laminating and cutting
  • Hanging posters in the hallway
  • Labeling outer doors and windows
  • Stamping and numbering new textbooks
  • Leveling and Dusting desks
  • Miscellaneous other items as needed

We deeply appreciated the help and support as we work to plan the upcoming school year. It is always a good idea to bring what you think you will need to help in the area you would like to work. We do have cleaning supplies and a vacuum, but more are always welcome. Bring yard tools and gloves. We will provide water bottles throughout the morning. Church Women's Ministry is planning a church picnic afterwards, so plan to stay to eat and play together.

We will be in all day Monday and Tuesday, then we are heading up to Camp AuSable for Teacher's Convention. We will be working each day in August to prepare for the school year.
