BRONCO PRESS INFORMATION
What are we learning?
Language Arts
We are reading Catching the Moon and Salt in His Shoes. Both stories are biographies about Marcenia Lyle (aka Toni Stone) and Michael Jordan. We are looking at how biographies and autobiographies are similar and different. Students will be working on writing their own autobiographies in class.
Math
Our current unit is measurement. We have been studying telling time and will begin using both standard and metric units of measure. We will then move on to learning about area and perimeter. Our knowledge of measurement will be put to use at our Measurement Olympics on the 26th.
Science
Force and Motion is our current unit of study in science. Students will be learning about magnets, and force and motion. Students will use this knowledge to create a car and an indoor recess activity.
