Attention Juniors and Seniors! Are you interested in learning more about civics and government? Do you want to make a difference in your community? If so, then you should consider earning your California State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE).
The SSCE is a recognition awarded to California high school students who demonstrate excellence in civics education and participation. To earn the seal, students must:
● Be engaged in academic work in a productive way
● Demonstrate a competent understanding of United States and California constitutions
● Participate in one or more informed civic engagement project(s)
Civic engagement projects can take many forms, such as volunteering for a local organization, serving on an advisory board, or getting involved in an issue that is important to you. In addition to the academic and civic requirements, you must also complete a reflection component in which you discuss your learning and experiences. If you are interested in earning your SSCE, please complete the application and return it to your school counselor by March 8, 2024.
Let's keep our Bruin community clean! Be a part of the solution, not the pollution. "Feed the can" and see a custodian to earn Brucoin!
Attention Juniors and Seniors! Apply and be recognized for the California State Seal of Civic Engagement Award. This is open to all students that participate in their community. Applications are available in the counseling office.
