Moreau Heights Elementary

Giving our students HOPE for a better tomorrow one skill at a time!

We have worked hard this semester to support our students and one another to make academic and behavioral/social growth. Through this process we have ALL learned new things and grown. This growth has prepared us for the semester ahead and the shift we will make together!

As we begin the second semester we have an opportunity, with new structures, to set a new standard for students and staff with high expectations. We can do this! It will take time, hard work and will likely not always feel awesome - however, if we all work together and lift one another up, we can make a GREAT difference for our students and each other!

We will spend time with PBS lessons that review expectations when we return from break. This will be the first 7 school days after we return. A specific schedule for lessons will be provided to support a positive transition.

Dr. Day's Update

One more week! We can do this!!! You and your students have been working so hard and I just wanted to take a quick moment to tell you how very much I appreciate all of your hard work. I feel so very lucky to be a part of the amazing staff at Moreau Heights. It's incredible to see the difference you are all make each and every day. I know that this work is exhausting and we don't see the results as quickly as we would like, but you ARE making a difference.

Next week will be a tough one as we are all ready for some relaxation. Take some time to have some fun and celebrate the holidays. There are so many ways you can incorporate what students need to learn into some fun holiday activities. Please feel free to do so! Some of my favorite days as a teacher were celebrating holidays, making crafts, and just having fun with my kids. It's okay to have some fun with them! If you are doing something exciting and don't mind inviting me in, I'd love to stop by and see what's going on. We can do this, we are almost there, keep going strong!!
