Description of the Water Cycle

The water cycle is a very interesting process. You may be thinking, how does it work? Well the water cycle consists of precipitation, vapour transport, evaporation, evapo-transpiration, infiltration, groundwater flow and runoff.

The water cycle describes the continuous movement of water on, above and below the surface of the Earth.

Pollutants in the water cycle

There are so many pollutants in the water. I'm going to talk about chemical water pollution.

Many industries and farmers work with chemicals that end up in water. These include chemicals that are used to control weeds, insects and pests. Metals and solvents from industries can pollute water bodies. These are poisonous to many forms of aquatic life and may slow their development, make them infertile and kill them.
