The Western Hills football team made the playoffs for the first time since 2010. The senior group had a goal to play in the post season and did a great job of reaching that goal. The team will bring back 9 offensive starters and 7 defensive starters.
WHHS Wrestling
We have had a short and fast season this year with some good success. We have returning District Champion senior Aaliyah Ruiz at 119lbs headed to the district tournament seeded number 1 as well as new comer Carlos Aguinaga at 106 pounds with a record is 12-3 fighting for a chance at regionals. Senior Chris Howard at 170 lbs has a tough road ahead of him with some hard competition in his bracket. This year has taught us to adapt to every challenge and remember to focus on where we want to be rather than where we were yesterday.

WHHS Cougar Corner/WHHS Cougar Pride Foundation
The WHHS Cougar Pride Foundation was founded in 2017 by a group of Alumni that saw a need to help the current students at Western Hills. Patty Pressley, Class of 1982, is the executive director of the foundation and the biggest of its contributors. Ms. Patty has taken on many roles over the last few years, but by far the biggest is that of "school mom" to many current and recent grads of Western Hills. The Foundation helps with feeding students organizations and athletes before events, food bags for extended breaks in the school year like Winter and Spring break, and helping the community as an added food bank. Cougar Corner has become a staple on the Western Hills High School campus. Students know that if they need anything at all, like food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc, that Ms. Patty and Cougar Corner probably has it. The benefits of Cougar Corner and the Cougar Pride Foundation have been life changing and culture changing for the Western Hills kids. Athletically, our kids are no longer going home hungry. The availability of food for all students has led to a noticeable physical difference in our athletes. We see growth in the ones that might have struggled to have food on the table when they get home at night. We cannot thank Ms. Patty and the Foundation enough for all of their generous help and love for our Cougars!
A group of volunteers put together food bags to be given to WHHS students over spring break.
In the aftermath of this years cold and freezing, RJ Moilan, Sophomore Football player and baseball player, and his family along with Reagan Smith, senior baseball player, and his family volunteered to distribute food and water to those in need in the Western Hills community.
