Student Attendance

Regular student attendance is important for student learning and progress throughout the school year. The state's financial support for schools is also directly linked to student attendance. To ensure our attendance records are counted for maximum state funding this school year, please have your child attend school each day from Monday, February 6th through Friday, February 10th, 2023.

Please note that students who ride the yellow buses are also reported to the state. Should your child not ride the bus on a regular basis and if they do not ride during this week, they may lose eligibility for transportation services.

School Closed - February 20

Presidents' Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885, in recognition of President George Washington, the holiday became popularly known as Presidents' Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidents' Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present. In obervance of Presidents' Day, there is no school for students and our offices will be closed. Classes resume on Tuesday, February 21st, and our offices will resume their regular schedule.
