In the Classroom...

Math: We will have a quiz over equivalent fractions and identifying fractions on a number line on Tuesday. We will move into comparing fractions and reducing fractions on Wednesday. Timed fact quizzes Monday/Wednesday. Math stations Tuesday/Thursday.


Reading: We will wrap up our lit circle project and point of view. We will practice identifying non-fiction text features this week. Literacy stations on Wednesday. Don't forget the AR cut date is March 9. Make sure your child is reading 15-20 minutes each evening.


English: chapter 6, DOL Quiz on THURSDAY


Writer's Workshop: We will continue practicing constructed response writing.


Spelling: Catholic Schools Week words, tic tac toe and TEST on Thursday


Religion: Bible verse Thursday

JA Volunteer Needed....Anyone Interested?!

We are on the lookout for Junior Achievement volunteers for 3rd grade classrooms! This is a great way to be involved in your child’s classroom. Volunteers visit once a week for 5 weeks and they spend about 40 minutes in the classroom. Junior Achievement provides training and material for the classroom.
