Adventure Dash FUN RUN

The Adventure Dash Fundraiser culminates with a Fun Run for all students on Friday, September 27th (schedule below). This is an epic obstacle course that includes a FOAM MACHINE! The kids LOVE IT, but be aware that it IS MESSY! Please send your students with clothes you don't mind getting messy in - and - if they are staying for the rest of the day after the fun run, please send a towel and change of clothes so that they can dry off and enjoy the rest of their school day. Thank you so much for your support!

Watch DOGs

On Tuesday, September 24th from 5:30-6:30 we will be having our 2nd annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at our school. You do not have to be present to sign up. We will have a presentation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Students) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one or two days this year at the school to be a positive male role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.

If you've already been to the orientation, you do not need to be present to sign up. The link will go live to sign up at 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 24:

Destination Imagination

Do you know about Destination Imagination? Would you like to learn about this exciting program that is sponsored by the Gifted and Talented Department that engages our students in fun, hands-on learning? For the past couple years our Redhawks have participated in the Destination Imagination Program and can attest to the fact that the program encourages students’ creativity, courage and curiosity through open-ended challenges in the fields of fine arts, service learning, and STEM - science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Last year we had two teams who represented us at the district level. This year, we want to offer more students the opportunity to engage in this parent-facilitated event. We need parents who are willing to serve as Team Managers to guide the efforts of 5-7 students. The Gifted and Talented Department will offer training on September 23, 2019, for parents who want to serve as Team Managers or Assistant Team Managers. For more information, please contact Mrs. Sherry Johnson our GT/DI Campus Liaison at

They get a picture with their book and have a special label placed inside so that everyone will remember their birthday! All birthday books must be returned by the end of the year. However, your child will be remembered as long as the book is in the library. Celebrate your child! Sign up on School Cash Online or send a check made to Rennell Library for $20.60. All funds earned will be used to purchase new books and author visits for the library.

The School Cash link for the Birthday Book Club closes Sept 30! Don't miss out! Honor your child's birthday today!

Art Supply Request

We are collecting cardboard cereal, snack, cake and other boxes for an art project (not packaging boxes). The cardboard should not be broken down and folded, as the original box will be covered in paper and re-imagined. Boxes can be dropped off in the art room or brought to the front office. Thank you for your support!
