Kenroy Parent Newsletter
November 2020
Thank You Kenroy Families!
As we begin the second week of our hybrid learning model, we wanted to reach out to say thank you. We appreciate your willingness to be flexible and support our staff and your student(s) as we maneuver this unchartered territory together.
We are overjoyed with students on campus. Seeing them learning and engaging with their teacher and peers is truly satisfying. With small cohorts of 8-12 students, our staff is able to wrap-around each student and support them individually. Due to this, we anticipate high levels of learning from all of our students.
We realize we are not doing this alone. Thank you for making sure your child is engaging in the other half of the day, as well. Your child's teacher has planned a remote schedule which includes important technology programs, independent practice time, specialist (PE, music and art) time and if your child needs interventions, that is provided, as well.
As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with questions or suggestions. It is through this dialogue we get better.
For the kids,

Meet our Counselor
Hello Kenroy Families! My name is Heather Rosa, I am excited and honored to be your School Counselor for the next three months. I have lived here in our valley for 7 years and I cannot imagine ever living anywhere else. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and after volunteering in an elementary school, I quickly realized I never wanted to leave. I then completed a Master’s degree in School Counseling and continued working with students and families here in our valley.
I am here to support every Kenroy student’s social-emotional wellbeing as we transition back to the classroom. This is a team effort and you are an important part of that team! Please reach out if you have any concerns regarding your student or if you have some information you feel will help me to better serve him or her.
Thank you for the privilege of serving your students. I look forward to meeting you! Please reach me at 884-1443.
Have You Moved Out of the District?
If your child attended Eastmont Schools but you have now moved out of the Eastmont School District, you must contact your resident school district and request to attend Eastmont. Then you will need to complete choice enrollment forms, found on the District website and the link below. Please call Mary Lopez, Kenroy Attendance Secretary, for more information; 884-1443.
