ALAN TURING

WHO IS ALAN TURING?

WHO IS THIS GREAT MAN?

Alan Turing was a famous English mathematician and was a great wartime code breaker and pioneer of computer science. Alan Turing was involved in making both the colossus and the electric computer built at Bletchley park during the world war 2 (WW2). later on Alan Turing helped making the automatic computing engine.

ALAN TURING

as born on June 23, 1912, in London. In his seminal 1936 paper, he proved that there cannot exist any universal algorithmic method of determining truth in mathematics, and that mathematics will always contain undecidable propositions. That paper also introduced the "Turing machine. His papers on the subject are widely acknowledged as the foundation of research in artificial intelligence.

EARLY LIFE

English scientist Alan Turing was born Alan Mathison Turing on June 23, 1912, in Maida Vale, London, England. At a young age, he displayed signs of high intelligence, which some of his teachers recognized, but did not necessarily respect. When Turing attended the well-known independent Sherborne School at the age of 13, he became particularly interested in math and science.

After Sherborne, Turing enrolled at King's College (University of Cambridge) in Cambridge, England, studying there from 1931 to 1934.

TIM BERNERS-LEE

WHO IS HE?

he was known as "the father of internet."

Born in 1955 in London, England, Tim Berners-Lee's parents were both mathematicians. They both worked on the Ferranti Mark I computer. Tim Berners-Lee loved electronics from an early age. He graduated as a Physics major from Oxford University in 1976. At Oxford he built his first computer using: a soldering iron, TTL gates, an M6800 processor and an old television.
