STAAR EOC Re-Testing Schedule

STAAR EOC Re-Testing will be held at Roosevelt this week during the regular school day. Students who need to take the EOC tests (which are a Texas graduation requirement) should plan to take advantage of this December testing administration. Students can check with their counselor if they are scheduled to test.


December Testing Schedule:

Tuesday, December 6th- English I and US History

Wednesday, December 7th- Algebra I

Thursday, December 8th- English II

Friday, December 9th- Biology

Saturday School

Fall Semester – 2022/2023 School Year (Hours earned will be applied to Fall 2022 Semester courses)

Students needing to make up missed class time, due to excessive absences, have options to register for Saturday School on campus or online. All online registrations and payments must be successfully submitted no later than 4 PM on any given Thursday leading up to a scheduled Saturday School. An $8.00 payment is required before a student is allowed to participate. An email will be send on the Monday leading up to each Saturday school with a link for online registration. Cash payments may be made in the AP Office.


Roosevelt HS is scheduled to conduct on campus Saturday School for attendance purposes on the following dates, from 8am to 12pm, on the following dates:


December 10, 2022

January 7, 2023

January 21, 2023

February 4, 2023

The following submissions are required to successfully register for any given Saturday School:


  • Date of Saturday School student is registering for
  • Student ID#
  • Official Student Last Name
  • Official Student First Name


All students must report to the TR cafeteria on time (8 AM) and have enough work to last for 4 hours.

Josten's Class Ring Delivery

Class rings are coming! Students who ordered their class rings can come pick up their merchandise from Josten's during their assigned lunch period in the cafeteria on Monday, December 12th.

Winter Break

Please plan ahead for the Holiday Break. Winter break is from 12/19/22-1/2/2023. Students will return to school on Tuesday, 1/3/2023. District offices and the Roosevelt campus will be closed.

Early Release Date - January 31st

Tuesday, January Early Release is at 2:00 pm.


Future Early Release Tuesdays are January 31st, February 28th, March 28th, and April 25th.

Join TR StuCo this Friday, December 9th at 6:30pm -8:00pm in the TR cafeteria for Winter Fest. There'll be games, crafts, music, food, and drinks. We hope to see you there for this annual holiday celebration!

Senior Dues

Senior Dues are $55 until December 16th. Senior Dues will be $65 from December 17th-March 11th. The dues cover two field trips, a Senior Class T-Shirt, and Senior Breakfast. FAFSA - January 5th

Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, which opens Oct. 1, is one of the most important steps students and their families can take to pay for college.


Join us for the next FAFSA Fiesta event on Thursday, January 5th to get assistance from college and financial advisors.


Completing the FAFSA is a graduation requirement.

NEISD 2022 - 2023 Exam Exceptions

Exam exemption window is coming up! The window is open for students on Monday, December 5th at 7:00am and will close on Wednesday, December 7th at 4:30pm. Grades will be pulled from Skyward on Monday, December 5th at 2:30am.

The district has updated the Exam Exemption Guidelines for 2022 - 2023 to include absences and tardies.

  • Absences and tardies for the following dates 8/10/2022- 8/19/2022 will not go toward exemptions.

  • An extenuating absence due to a positive covid test will not count toward exemptions.

Each student at Roosevelt High School will receive one free breakfast and one free lunch in the 2022-2023 school year. Any additional breakfasts or lunches will be charged to the student. Students without adequate funds will not be allowed to purchase extra items or meals.

Reminder- NO Outside Food Deliveries
