8th Grade Baby Pictures
Please email your 8th graders baby picture for the yearbook to CTMSyearbooksquad@gmail.com and be sure to include your student’s first and last name.
If you prefer to use an actual photo, please drop it off in the front office. Please write the student name on the back of the picture and the Language Art teacher your student has this year.
CT Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up
The traffic pattern was developed to insure student safety. We encourage parents to carpool to reduce the number of vehicles in the east lot, and ask that students exit/enter cars on the side closest to the sidewalk.
Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Parents dropping off and picking up students should observe the one way and stop signs on the north and east sides of the building. Please DO NOT drop students off (1) at the front entrance-this lane is reserved for buses; or (2) front parking lot; students must cross traffic to get to school sidewalks as this is an area of heavy traffic. Please use the east parking lot which provides access to school sidewalk for student drop-off and pick up. Two lanes are provided-the lane adjacent to the sidewalk for drop-off and pick-up (cars may park in this lane); and the second lane which provides for continuous movement to leave the area.
Visiting CT during the school day
If you are visiting school during school hours you will be required to stop outside of the building. There are pawprints leading to the CTMS doghouse outside the front entrance,. Please stand on the doghouse and show your ID to the camera. Staff will ask for your student’s name, grade and the reason for your visit. If you don’t have your ID, you will be requested to get it from your car. Please do not let others in the building behind you when entering or when you are exiting the building. All visitors will be asked to follow this procedure. Thank you for patience and understanding.
FYI: If your student is late or needs to be picked up early
Students arriving late to school must sign in at the Front Office and obtain an admit slip. Parents and guardians who want their student’s tardy to be excused will need to send a note with them or call the school. If your student will be absent it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to contact the school’s Front Office at 780-7220 by 9:00 a.m. with this information.
If you do not contact the Front Office, the absence will be considered unexcused.
If you contact your student’s teachers regarding your student’s absence, please also contact the Front Office to report your child’s absence.
If you need to pick up your student for an appointment, please call the school to let us know what time you plan to arrive. We then will send a pass for your student.
Please allow 10 minutes before arriving at the school. Parents and guardians must to come into the Front Office to sign out their student. You will be asked for ID at the camera prior to entering the school. Upon returning to CT, the student, may sign themselves in, obtain an admit slip pass and return to class.
Each year we have students wanting to leave the building with parents or guardians of another student. Students may only leave when signed out by their own parent or guardian, or the persons designated as emergency contacts on their student information form.

If a student becomes ill at school, he/she is to obtain a pass to the nurse’s office from the teacher. A parent, or a designated representative, must pick up a student after being contacted by the nurse. Parents are to sign the checkout sheet in the office when taking a student out of school.
If a student has a medical condition that compromises their ability to participate in physical education class, the nurse may authorize keeping a student inside and /or excused from physical education class for up to two days. Additional consecutive days require a physician or dentist note.
Students who are ill (fever of 100 degree F or higher) must stay home from school until they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of medication.
