Community Forums
Members of the Otsego Team will once again be conducting community forums this spring. Otsego parents, staff, and community are invited to attend one of the informational sessions below. We need to hear from parents and community members on the things we are doing right and what needs improvement. We will update the community on key initiatives that we have implemented this year and look ahead to the next school year. We will also provide a financial overview of the past several years and will discuss the financial forecast. You will have the opportunity to ask the team questions and make suggestions on how we can strengthen the Otsego Local School District. “Our Students, Our Community, Our Success”

4-H Opportunity for 2016
Green Meadows 4-H Club is once again opening up membership for the upcoming 4-H year. Due to the recent graduation of a couple long term members, our numbers have dropped and we would be comfortable adding a few new members.
Green Meadows has traditionally been based out of Haskins, however, over the last several years, the meetings have been held within the Haskins, Tontogany, and Grand Rapids areas. Anyone is welcome to join whether your child would be a CloverBud (kindergarten thru 2nd grade), a first time 4-H member (in 3rd grade or has never been in 4-H), or a veteran 4-Her looking for a new club. Green Meadows is a smaller club, typically with membership numbers right around 15.
Members take a range of projects from cooking to clothing to livestock to pets to muskrat trapping to scrapbooking to independent projects. The list is endless. Shannon (419-356-9401) and Kim (419-205-5939) are the advisors and would gladly discuss the array of projects available for your child to take. For more information regarding this club, its expections, and the benefits of joining, please call or text one of the advisors.
Our first meeting will be held on Sunday February 28th at the 4-H Extension Office in Bowling Green so that the kids can review the variety of projects available and the books accompanying each project.

Random Acts of Kindness Week
February 16-19 we will be participating in Random Acts of Kindness Week. Throughout the week we will be encouraging our students to help and do something kind for others without expecting anything in return. At lunch, students will have an opportunity to fill out a card if they have done a random act of kindness that day. We will then display the cards on the windows in the commons to create a kindness wall! I am excited to see how big we can make the wall!
Mini-Meetings
I will be visiting every classroom to meet with each student for about a minute. The purpose of these mini-meetings is (1) for me to be able to meet with every student and build rapport, (2) to check in with each student and see how their school year is going, (3) to catch any students who may need help but are afraid or won't ask for help and (4) to gather data for the school counseling program.

REMINDERS
SAVE ALUMINUM CAN TABS
Please help our students by collecting tabs from aluminum cans. Each tab is easy to remove and can be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. The tabs help fund various projects for Ronald McDonald Houses and its visitors. Send the tabs in a bag to the school and our students will do the rest!
SAVE BOX TOPS AND CAMPBELLS SOUP LABELS
You can help the school earn money for supplies by collecting Box Tops and Campbells labels from soup, juices and snacks. Our PTO collects and counts them and puts the money straight back into the school.
