AR Test Goals

Now that it is second semester, we are hitting the ground running with taking AR tests. I would like for every student to be able to read three AR books and pass 3 AR tests each month! Just a reminder that AR tests MUST be taken at school, not at home. Students that reach their goal will earn a Dress Down Day at the end of the month! It is really important that your child is reading his/her AR book both at home and at school, so that they are having many opportunities to read and begin comprehending the book. Students should be bringing their AR/library books home each night, and returning them each day at school.

In Need of Mystery Readers!

Not many parents have signed up this semester to be our mystery readers. Please, if you haven't signed up yet, please do! The students love having their parents come in to read. There are not many weeks left of the year left with end-of year testing and activities! Click on the sign up genius link below!

Homeroom App

Interested in seeing what Ms. Selstad's class is up to every day? Be sure to join me on the Homeroom app! This is a free app that allows you and only other parents of students in our class to view pictures and status updates that I upload to the app. This is completely safe and private, but still a way that you can see what is going on in first grade!
