A Tribute to Doris Padgett
1925 - 2022
Doris Padgett was Sunnyvale's first Library employee and was the Library Director for over 50 years. She spent much of her life helping to educate and entertain the Sunnyvale community. On Sept. 22, 2018, the Sunnyvale Public Library was renamed to the Doris Padgett Public Library.
A short video was commissioned in 2015 to commemorate Doris' 50 years of service and to celebrate her retirement. Thank you to Doug Norlie and Georgeann Moss for providing a source for the video.
