6th Annual "Hawk Classic"

It's time to get out those running (or walking) shoes for our annual Hawk Classic 5K run/3K walk/1 mile kids fun run. All FLIGHT students can run in the 1 mile fun run INSTEAD of running the mile during PE class this fall!! How cool is that?!?! **ALL PROFITS GO BACK TO HORING TO HELP OFF-SET FIELDTRIP COSTS!!

When: Saturday, October 6 at 9am

Where: Horning Middle School cafeteria and surrounding neighborhood

Cost: $20 Adults, $10 children, OR $40 family pack **All participants receive a t-shirt and a cook-out meal ticket

Student Handbook

All students participated in a meet and greet presentation with the Student Services Team and Administration over the past two weeks. We all had a great time introducing ourselves in a fun interactive way. In the presentation, we went over school expectations around cell phones, dress code, nutrition and wellness, and, our school Horning Way expectations.

Family/Student Book Discussion

Hello HMS Families and Students!

Do you want an extra opportunity to read books with your son or daughter? Are you interested in discussing a book with others, while celebrating with food and drinks?

If yes, please consider joining our first semester FAMILY/STUDENT BOOK DISCUSSION on Thursday, December 13th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in Horning Middle School’s iCenter.

Robotics Club

If you are interested in joining the 2018-2019 Horning robotics team, please plan on being at our first informational meeting Wednesday September 26th. We will be meeting in rm. 116 from 2:45 until 3:45. I hope to see many of you there. Thanks! Mr. Kind

Yearbook Club

If you are interested in joining the 2018-2019 Horning yearbook club, or possible just designing a cover for the book, please plan on being at our first informational meeting Tuesday September 25th. We will be meeting in rm. 116 from 2:45 until 3:45. Topics that will be covered will include, taking & uploading photos, building yearbook pages, as well as designing the front and back covers. Concussion Forms

Hawks please come to the main office to see Ms. Pam Craig if you are interested in athletics. All athletes will be require to review and sign a concussion form with their parents/guardians to be eligible to participate in all athletics for the 2018-2019 school year.

One concussion form will remain on file for the whole year and can be used for all athletic participation in any sports throughout the school year.

Meet the New Staff: Josh Lung - Student Teacher

Hello! I'm Josh Lung and I will be student teaching at Horning Middle School this year! I'm currently on my last semester at Carroll University. I will be majoring in physical and health education. I will be working with Mr.Kuntz for the remainder of the semester! Looking forward to having a great semester at Horning!
