Band News

May is here and this means it's the busiest month of the year for our band program!


Our local festival, where the grade 5, 6, and Junior High Bands will be performing at the Douglas J. Cardinal theatre, please ensure your students wear black pants & shoes.


MAY 2

JR HIGH performance at 10:00 am


MAY 3

Gr. 5 performance at 11:30 am

Gr. 6 performance at 9:30 am


Junior High Band trip to Red Deer will take place from May 23-25, where they will perform in the provincial band festival. Students have been working very hard and doing their best in class. In addition, I have given harder music to all the grades this year, so they've really stepped it up a notch!


Please come out to the local festivals and watch!

BOOK SWAP MAY 29th - JUNE 2nd



Do you have books at home that you have read and are now gathering dust on your bookshelf?

Why not bring them in to swap for something you haven’t read? Bring up to six books, in good

condition and age appropriate that you are willing to swap before May 25th. During your library

class the week of May 29 th -June 2 nd you will have the opportunity to come to the library and

choose the number of books that you brought in. This is a great way to get books for summer

reading.
