Baseball Advances to State Semifinals

Hewitt-Trussville Baseball will host Vestavia this weekend in the semifinal round of the AHSAA 7A Baseball Playoffs. The Huskies defeated James Clemens last weekend in the quarterfinal round. HT lost game one by the score of 6-5, but rallied to win 3-0 and 8-0 in the final two games of the series.

Semifinal Schedule:
Game 1: Friday May 13 4:30pm
Game 2: Friday May 13 7:00pm
Game 3 (If Necessary): Saturday May 14 1pm

Due to HTMS dismissal time, gates will open for Game 1 of the Baseball series at 3:30pm. Please do not arrive on campus during Friday dismissal time.

Because this is an AHSAA postseason event, Student Passes, Season Passes, TCS Teacher Badges, etc. Will NOT be valid for gate entry.

Softball Travels to East Regional

Hewitt-Trussville Softball will play in the AHSAA 7A East Regional in Albertville on Thursday. The Huskies will be joined by Huntsville, Spain Park, and Sparkman. The top two teams from the regional will advance to next week's AHSAA State Tournament.

The Huskies will play Huntsville at 9am on Thursday. The regional will be double elimination.

Outdoor Track & Field: State Meet Recap

Hewitt-Trussville Outdoor Track & Field competed at the AHSAA State Meet May 5-7 in Gulf Shores. The HT Girls finished in 3rd place and the HT Boys finished in 4th place. This marked the second consecutive year that both teams finished inside the top four at the state meet.

Molly Davidson Wins 7A Golf Title

Hewitt-Trussville Freshman Molly Davidson won the AHSAA 7A Girls Golf State championship on Tuesday. The event was played over two days at RTJ Hampton Cove in Huntsville. Davidson shot rounds of 70-70 to finish the tournament four-under par. Her 140 total was good enough to capture the title by three strokes.

Monday's opening round featured six birdies against a double bogey and two bogeys. In the final round, Davidson had three birdies and just one bogey. Her round included making a birdie on the final hole.

The state championship win for Davidson capped an outstanding season for the Freshman. In total, she won eight events during the spring season.

School Athletic Physicals May 13

School athletic physicals will take place on May 13, 2022 at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. Students wishing to participate in athletics that will be in grades 7-12 for the 2022-2023 school year should attend.


Q. What are school physicals?
A. All students grades 7-12 that participate in Athletics must have a current physical. School physical day is set to help all students get an updated physical

Q. Who needs to attend?
A. All students that will be in grades 7-12 during the 2022-2023 school year that wish to participate in Athletics should attend. This includes current 6th graders that wish to participate in Athletics during 2022-2023 as 7th graders.

Q. Where will school physicals take place?
A. Hewitt-Trussville Stadium (Enter at Main Gate)

Q. What time does the event begin?
A. Students at HTHS can start during their athletic period. Students at HTMS should come right after school ends for the day.

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Athletic school physicals are $10 each. "Tickets" will be sold on GoFan. Please visit the link below to purchase your ticket to physical day.

Q. What do I need to bring?
A. A Copy of the physical form with page one fully completed

Q. My child just got a physical. Do they need to come?
A. Yes. Physicals are good for one year. Students who get a physical in May will be covered for the entire 2022-2023 school year.

Hewitt-Trussville Football will host Parker for the spring football game on May 19 at 7pm. The game will be played at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium.

HTHS and HTMS Boys Basketball Tryout Information

Tryout dates have been set for the 2022-2023 HTHS and HTMS Boys Basketball teams.

HTHS tryouts are open to rising 9th-12th grade TCS students. Tryouts will be held in the HTHS Gym May 23 and May 25. Rising Freshmen will be from 4:00pm-5:45pm. Rising Sophomores-Seniors will be from 6:00pm-7:45pm. Questions regarding HTHS Boys Basketball tryouts should be directed to

  • May 10th 6pm @ HTMS Auditorium - Parent Meeting. This meeting will be for 7th-12th graders. (If this is not your first season, feel free to skip this meeting. The presentation for the meeting can be found on the XC Info & Sign Up tab.)
  • Make sure to complete the Sign Up form on the XC Info & Sign Up tab. You will not be added to the roster until you complete this form.
  • I will continue communicating through BAND. If you are not currently on the XC/Distance BAND used this year, instructions on joining are in the parent meeting presentation.
  • May 16th – Spirit Pack Orders Close.
  • May 19th, 20th, 23rdSpring Evaluations for all rising 9th-12th grade runners. Evals for 7th-8th will be 19th and 20th only.

2022 Middle School Cross Country Sign-Ups

  1. Please complete the Google Form below to sign your athlete up for cross country. This list will be used to build our roster and to add parents to my email list. This form must be completed!

  1. We will have a parent meeting on May 10th at 6:00 in the Middle School Auditorium. This meeting will mainly be for parents/athletes who have never ran cross country. If you have, there won’t be any new info given that you all won’t receive through an email. You are welcome to come, but just know that it isn’t mandatory and you can just email me with any questions you may have.

  1. Our Team Shop is already open for cross country season! This store will be used to buy your athlete’s uniform for the season as well as any other items he/she may want or need. Parents are more than welcome to buy Husky gear for yourself too! The link to order XC gear can be found here. Remember, after the deadline no more orders can be placed! The shop will close on May 16th.

  1. We will have XC evaluations on May 19th and 20th. This will be to mainly familiarize our athletes with proper warm up drills, how to do workouts on their own, and how to cool down. We will do a 1 mile time trial on the 20th. Those evaluation days will end at approximately 4:30.

  1. If you know of someone interested in running cross country, please pass this information on to them so they are aware of the parent meeting and other important info.
