Solve Me Mobiles

On this FREE site, students/players are given a mobile that has beams balanced under the number of the total weight. Through deduction, students determine the weight values of the different shapes used in the mobil. Students can also create their own problems and post them to the site. No account is needed unless the player wants to track his/her progress.

Lexiled Reading about the Presidents, K-12

This site has lots of reading comprehension materials. For example, they have lexiled readings on the US Presidents for levels 300-1450!

Math Resources for K-12

Illuminations is a project designed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and is supported by the Verizon Foundation. Illuminations gives teachers access to quality resources for math. It has over 600 lesson plans, 100 activities, which are searchable by NCTM Standards and by Common Core State Standards.

Edsitement, from the National Endowment for the Humanities, is a great place to find resources for teachers of social studies, language arts, foreign language, arts, and culture. There are wonderful readings, activities, and lessons. The database can be searched by grade, subject and type.
