Together Again!
The school year is off to a great start! Our students have returned from summer enthusiastic and ready to learn! They have done a great job of learning the classroom routines and our safety protocol.
Late Start (9/1)
There is a district-wide late start scheduled for Wednesday, September 1st. School will begin at 9:30 a.m. for children in K-5. Our morning Pre-K students will attend from 9:45–11:45 a.m. and the afternoon students will be in session from 12:45 p.m–2:45 p.m..
Health Forms
Please be advised that all required health forms are due to the nurse, Mrs. Julie Reppen, by October 15th. All kindergarteners must have an eye exam; Illinois state physical, and immunization records. All students new to the district must turn in the Illinois state physical and immunization records. Failure to turn in the required documents by October 15th will result in the student being excluded until all health documents are received.
Lunch Supervisor Vacancies
We are currently looking for lunch supervisors to help students during lunch and recess. Please let me know if your are interested. Applications are available on the D123 homepage.
PTA
Kolmar’s PTA works tirelessly to support our school. This past Friday's Ice Cream Social is a great example of how they bring our school together. For information, updates and reminders about Kolmar and district events, please like them on Facebook at Kolmar PTA. This year’s first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday September 7th at 7:00 p.m.
Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast and lunch will continue to be available to all students free of charge. Children will place their orders each morning with their teachers.
Technology Insurance
Technology insurance is available for purchase through Skyward Family Access or by contacting the main office. The policy has a $25 deductible and protects against accidental damage, theft, fire, floods, and natural disasters. Families are able to enroll until September 30.
Wellness Reminder
Please remember that we need your help in keeping our Kolmar Community safe and healthy. If your child is not feeling well or has a fever, aches, coughing, or other signs of illness, please keep them home!
