September Seahawk News
Welcome Back
We had a wonderful first month of school and the students easily adapted to the new dress code and the block schedule for middle and high school. It is important to continually check the district website and our FCS Facebook page for information pertaining to our school. If at any time you have questions
please contact the school at 670-2800 and we will be happy to assist you. Have a wonderful year!
FCS STEM School
FCS is in the process of becoming a Discovery Education STEM school and with this brings great excitement. Our teachers will be well versed in the process of integrating subjects as well as encouraging our students to expand their knowledge in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The school will host a family night to give the parents, family members, and students a chance to immerse in a
science problem. The details for this event will be on our school Facebook page, district website, and a letter will be sent home. In addition to our family night, we will also be hosting a week-long summer camp!
New Career and Technical Programs
This school year has brought new programs for our students as we now offer Medical Academy and Welding. These
programs allow students to earn a certification and become prepared to join the workforce after graduation or to continue on with their studies and earn a degree.
