School Psych Newsletter
November 2020
Dear Rockbrook Families,
I hope this finds you and yours well. In this newsletter, you will find information about a special lesson I am providing to our students on Gratitude as well as activities you may be interested in for your home. Expressing gratitude is a healthy way to boost our own resilience, to foster resilience in our children, and to show others that we care!
Information about resources available for Westside families and community based resources are also shared below. Please feel free to reach out with questions or supports your family may need. I am happy to help!

Operation School Bell - JANUARY 2021
Operation School Bell is a shopping opportunity. Families who participate are provided with a voucher and can shop and choose clothing for their children on an assigned date/time. Rockbrook's shopping event will take pace in January 2021, and we have a very limited number of allotments this year. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP. The deadline for requests is Monday, November 16th.
The Backpack Food Program
The Omaha Food Bank along with Woodhouse offers the Backpack Program to students at our school. This program is designed to provide food for children at times when other resources are not available, such as on weekends and vacations from school.
All of the food is child friendly (no preparation needed) and shelf stable. The food is delivered to the school for children to bring home in a bag on Fridays to have for the weekend. In the event that there is no school on a Friday, the food bags go home on the last day of the school week.
This program runs throughout the school year. If you are interested in participating, please contact me so your child can be delivered a bag each week.
