Counselors' Corner
This week in Upper Elementary and Erdkinder, students have been receiving lessons on Peace and Compassion. Erdkinder students have also been learning about what a resume is, and volunteering in our area. 8th graders may begin volunteering in the summer leading up to high school to work on community service requirements.
Next week, Primary and Lower Elementary will learn more about the world of work through a special opportunity highlighting various career clusters.
It's our pleasure as your school counselors to serve our Ellis community. Resources are available on the School Counseling Website including a list of mental health professionals and relaxation activities should you need anything. Please reach out if we can be of further service.
Rebecca Burkhart- Primary and Lower Elementary School Counselor
Wesley Cooper- Upper Elementary and Erdkinder School Counselor

The language for identifying/naming COMPASSION in "The Self-Awakened Child" series by Jonathan Wolff:
- When I care about other people as I care about myself, I am feeling Compassion.
- When I see that other people are feeling hurt or sad and I do something to help them feel better, I am acting with Compassion.
