A Message from Ms. Massey
Greetings Caldwell Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe that December is almost here which means the holiday season is just around the corner. This is a wonderful time of the year but also very busy. This also means that we have three instructional weeks until the holidays. Therefore, it is more important than ever to finish strong by staying focused on our goals and expectations. Encourage your students to continue doing their best and celebrate their progress. Remind them about behavior expectations, norms and rules, so we can end the year of 2021 safe and successful.
Our winter break starts December 17 through January 3rd. We will see you on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
Wishing you all the very best this Holiday Season!

Caldwell's 12 Days of Christmas
- This month our Character Strong trait is Gratitude, which is choosing to notice and appreciate things in our life, things in others, and things in the world. Here are some conversation starters you can have with your child at home: Talk about why you were grateful for the teachers and mentors in your life then ask your children why they are grateful for theirs.
- Let’s spread kindness by donating to MacTown Miracles! MacTown Miracles is a food drive that provides complete turkey dinners for families in need during the holidays. This event started 15 years ago by McKinney North High School’s Student Council and they are asking Caldwell to help out with this event. What can you donate? Here is a list of some items you can donate:
-Canned green beans
-Powdered mashed potatoes
-Plastic forks and knives
-instant gravy packets
-Boxed stuffing mix
This is a great opportunity for our students to help out the community to provide local families with a warm Holiday dinner. There is a box right outside my office where students can drop off their donations. Last day to donate items is December 7th.

Parents, with weather constantly changing, please make sure your child has the appropriate jacket for recess.
Please send a water bottle or a container that your child can fill up at one of the watering stations. It is very important that they can drink water through the day.
