Romeo & Juliet Project due Friday, 12/18 - We will be working on this in class for three class periods. Students will have some planning and rehearsing to do at home. If for some reason, a student doesn't finish by 12/18, I will accept them after the beak for no penalty. My intention is not to give them an assignment for Christmas break, but some students like the extra time and/or don't use their time wisely in class. Below I've attached the project description and grading rubric. Please let me know if you have any questions. I have told the students to do the same. There are some deadlines for this week to help the students prepare.

Romeo & Juliet Project Expectations

Romeo & Juliet Project Grading Rubric

Sometimes You Win, Sometimes You Learn for Teens - Students need to read the introduction (3 pages) by Thursday, December 10, 2015.

Parent Information

Please take note of the Romeo & Juliet project that is due next week. For some kids, it's helpful for a parent to read over the assignment with them and help make plans for it.

We will not have or standard Self-Selected Reading assignment this six weeks. I have been assigning students things to read each week at home and giving them a quiz. Their quiz grades will give them points towards their SSR grade for the six weeks.

We could use donations of candy! Big kids love candy treats, too, but it is EXPENSIVE buying for 186 students. It would be extremely helpful if some parents could donate some big bags of miniature candy bars, skittles, m&ms, dum dum lollipops, etc. Your donations are appreciated!

RCHS now has Thursday night academic support from 4-6 pm. Teachers are available from every subject to help students in need of assistance. If your child is is struggling in certain areas, then I would encourage them to attend.

If you are not subscribed to the classroom reminds and would like to be, send me an email and I will send you the information.

As always, feel free to email me if you have any questions.
