Flourish Taranaki

If you are raising a grandchild on a full-time basis or understand the blessings and challenges that this role brings, we would like to meet with you.

If you would like to share your experience and abilities to support and empower other grandparents and their whānau, or you just want to listen and be supported, we would also like to meet you.

We plan to meet up on a very informal basis initially on the first Tuesday of every month 11-1pm, starting on Tuesday the 2nd August. We’ll have tea, coffee and soup to share with you – but, feel free to bring something to go with this if you wish. We will meet upstairs (not ideal... but it's what we have available to us for now) at Flourish, behind the main yellow and blue seated grandstand at the Racecourse, above the TRFU gymnasium. Go along Rogan Street, then towards the racecourse and follow the signs to Flourish. Through the double white gates, which are just past the TSB stadium, and the TRFU building is the first on your left. There is no charge for this, we just ask you to bring yourself, your ideas and your open mind to see what comes. Our intentions are none other than to provide a safe space for you to create and grow your own support network in whatever way you need. You are very welcome to invite others, as this group is YOURS. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to text or call Carla 021 758 220
