Badger Assessment

Next week in preparation for the Badger Assessment (the new WKCE) students will be taking a practice test Thursday, February 12. Since this new assessment is online, students will need to have headphones or earbuds. Please check with your child if they have headphone or earbuds. The Dollar Store sells earbuds if you need to purchase these.

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! On Friday, February 13th, the students are able to pass out Valentines to their classmates. If student choose to bring in Valentines, please have them bring one in for every student. I would hate to have a child be left out.

Please feel free to bring in a treat to pass.

Here is a class list to help when making Valentines.

Writing Celebration

Our writing celebration was a hit! Students accessed the Google Site and were able to view their classmate's magazines. During our writing celebration students took notes on at least three magazines, writing down two things that they learned from the magazine. At the end we shared a few with the whole class.

Thank you to parents and students who brought in treats! They were greatly appreciated by the students.

Spring Conferences

Spring Conferences will be taking place March 9-11th. These conferences are OPTIONAL. You will sign up for these conferences using Family Access, identical to how you did for Fall Conferences. I will inform you in next week's newsletter when the sign-up will be open on Family Access.

Information on 6th grade or math placement for next year will not be available for these conferences, as we need data from later in the year to make this determination.
