Curriculum Corner & Announcements

If you have not yet opened your email and completed the re-enrollment for your current students, please do so now. We are currently in the process of completing re-enrollment (December 20th is the deadline!) If you do not complete this process, you may lose your spot for next year. We sent the email to all parents of current students, if you did not receive it, we may not have your updated email on file, or your email is not accepting any new emails. Please reach out to us because this step is critical to your spot being held.

SIBLINGS- If your current student has a sibling that would like to attend OSCS it is important to include them in the re-enrollment. You must indicate that you would like to enroll a second child, and also visit our website to apply for the 2020-2021 school year for the sibling only. Please do not re-apply for our current students.

Thank you,

i-Ready Diagnostic 2

Our fearless sharks are continuing to complete their i-Ready Diagnostic 2. We thank all our parents for encouraging students to put forth their very best effort while completing this test. The i-Ready Diagnostic is a very important tool used to guide intervention and enrichment opportunities for our students. Please reach out to you child’s teacher with questions regarding your child’s performance in this test.

Tuesday Dec 3rd, 2019

The Kissimmee Police Department has for the past several years paired up with Walmart for “Shop with a Cop.” Walmart donates a designates a dollar amount for students to purchase gifts with. Each student is paired up with a Police Officer to assist in a shopping experience. The year 60nstudents were distributed through all the schools in the City limits of Kissimmee. Osceola Science Stem Charter School was given 4 students, which they got choose to participate. After the shopping the Police Department also paired up with Mc Donald’s and Chk Filet for a free lunch with one of the establishments with the students. Congratulations to the randomly selected students!

Great job lady Sharks!

These 6th graders are our Khan Academy Students of the Month for November. Out of all of 6th grade, these three students had top overall learning minutes, top math skills leveled up, and they each turned in every Khan Academy math assignment on time with at least 70% accuracy. Congratulations to all three students for their excellent effort and accomplishments! Pictured from left to right: Yazmyn Roberts (3rd place), Husna Khan (2nd place), Marina Paiva (1st place)

Clubs! Clubs! Clubs!-

First and foremost I want to thank you for your patience and support in terms of clubs. Clubs were assigned to me very recently and it seems as though much of our information was missing. I am manually re-assigning all students to clubs, and confirming which clubs are still in existence. As of right now our club options consist of the ones listed below. Anything highlighted in Orange is at capacity currently. I am still going through my club emails and responding to parents. Feel free to contact me at and I will do my best to accommodate your needs.
