October Parent Workshop

Lincoln Elementary School is hosting two parent workshops in October. On Thursday, October 6th we will host a workshop for parents focusing on reading comprehension and fluency. This workshop will be presented in English. We will also host the workshop on Thursday, October 20th for parents presented in Spanish.

Attention Parents of Fifth Grade Girls!

"Polished Pebbles, an Illinois Gold Star rated mentoring program, is a Chicago-based mentoring initiative that increases the communication skills and employ-ability of young women for the future workplace. Polished Pebbles helps girls ages 7-17 become effective communicators at home, school, and their future careers. The organization currently serves 500+ girls and young women per school year in Chicagoland, Indiana, Texas, and North Carolina. Since our inception in 2009, Polished Pebbles has worked with over 4,000 African-American and Latina girls and provided over 500 mentors to girls in more than 100 schools." https://polishedpebbles.com/about-us/

Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to highlight the rich history and cultures of the people of Mexico, Central America, and South America. This year's theme is Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation. Here are some informative links:

Arrival and Dismissal

Arrival - Please pull all the way up to the Main Entrance Area before letting your child out of your vehicle. There are staff members posted to ensure that your child arrives to their designated door safely. Do not let your child out in the middle of 157th Street, it is unsafe for your child to cross through cars using the drop off lane. Also, please be mindful of students on 156th Place. The school zone speed limit is 20 MPH.


Dismissal - Please maintain a 20 MPH speed around the building. Also, please watch for students that are still learning traffic safety. The staff parking lot is NOT a designated pick up area, please do not use this space to pick up your child.

School Uniform Information
