The snow is finally starting to melt revealing patches of grass and creating slippery pockets of ice just in time for Spring Break. The library will be open regular hours over finals and reduced hours over spring break. Please read the post below to learn when we're open.
We mentioned that we got a new search tool in our last newsletter. In case you missed it, check out the video below. You can search our catalog and multiple databases with one search. Speaking of our catalog, keep an eye out because we're updating that as well. You should notice it once you get back from break. We hope you like it.
Do not forget that the Writing Lab is here for you as you wrap up your papers, apply for scholarships, or just need general writing recommendations. Please make an appointment as summer will be busy season.

Come Work In The Library
The student library assistant job is the first point of contact for library users. The student assistants help with computer questions, check books out or connect them with library staff members with more expertise.
This is a coverage position so we look for people who can fill hours designated for a student shift. Therefore, please make sure you include your availability in your application or email it to Krista Jacobson (kjacobson@nwhealth.edu). You can send questions to this email address as well.
Ideal candidates for this position will have a focus on customer service and feel comfortable assisting with basic computer questions.
Work study students may get priority, but we aren't opposed to non-work study students.
The job application is available here.
Writing Help Resources
If you haven't gotten a chance, yet, please check out the library's Writing & Citing Guide.

You can find guidance on academic writing, citing, and how to contact the writing lab there. You can also find information on how to use Mendeley and Grammarly EDU. Mendeley assists with properly citing your paper while Grammarly EDU will offer recommendations on how to improve your writing.
If you'd like to talk to someone, you can make an appointment to visit the Writing Lab for assistance with papers, applications and essays.
