Ms. Massey and Ms. French- Camp Taylor
I would like to send a Kudos to the teaching staff at Camp Taylor, Ms. Massey and Ms. French. They both continue to support the students social emotional health and encourage a classroom community of respect and encouragement of each child’s unique abilities. All while teaching the children to think and problem solve so that they can learn to manage the world around them. It is a warm and nurturing environment that our children get to grow and learn in every day. It’s an amazing example of the positive things that children can get from a quality early childhood classroom.--Diana Carlson

Brooke Rohrs, Norton Commons Early Childhood
From the moment my little 3 year old entered preschool he felt loved, special, excited to learn and play and that he was important. That little 3 year old is now a confident, well prepared 5 year old leader in his classroom thanks in large part to the teacher he loves and adores. Ms. Brooke, for 3 years he has been blessed to be in her structured and loving class. She epitomizes all of the positive things about JCPS Early Childhood! Thanks Ms. Brooke for all you do! --Casey Bell (Parent)
Ms. Kelleher, Alex R. Kennedy Early Childhood
Friday, when we picked B up from school, his teacher asked if she could show us a picture. It was a picture of B sitting on the carpet with an alphabet book and all the kids in class sitting around him. B got a book and had all of the kids come to the carpet where he proceeded to "read" the book to his classmates. After finishing the book, he called on students who were correctly sitting on the carpet, to give him a letter in the alphabet and a word that begins with that letter. My heart as a Mom and teacher was overflowing. I am so thankful that he found his to Alex R Kennedy and into Ms. Noelle's classroom. She has been a blessing in our lives over the past year and a half. --Alex R. Kennedy Parent

PLEASE COMPLETE EVALUATIONS! Many people are showing up on the Credit History Report with “0” PD hours for this year. In some cases, they have plenty of hours and have been marked attended, but these hours are not showing on the reports because evaluations are not done. To received earned credit you must be marked attended AND complete your evaluation.
CDA - Child Development Associate
The CDA Amnesty program will be over at the end of March. Hopefully, anyone with an expired CDA has taken advantage of this wonderful opportunity to regain your CDA status with a simple renewal. If you are in the process, please be sure to get things completed as soon as possible. You will need to create an account and upload your documents. Amnesty renewals can only be done online.
lease be aware of your CDA Renewal dates as we approach summer time. Be sure that you get your CPR / First Aid training in so that you have time to receive your card (which usually takes two weeks to get once you’ve attended a session). The CDA council will hold your renewal until they get the official card, so better to have your packet complete when you send it in.
Also, if your CDA expires during the summer months, you will want to complete your paperwork before schools lets out, so that have access to your principal and instructional coach who need to complete items in your packet. (Observations, recommendations, 45 clock hour page etc.). All paperwork must be dated within six months of your renewal date. Contact valerie.baker with questions.

Attached you will find some additional information about this project and the schedule of when they will be visiting each school. Please print out these materials and read over them carefully so that you are prepared in advance of your visit.
