AIESEC SAN MARCOS
Welcome to Peru
We invite you to learn more about Peru and the Projects we will be working with for 2016. As AIESEC in San Marcos we strive to deliver experiences of a lifetime to every single on of our interns and members. This year we are working to give almost 100 people the opportunity to develop themselves as leaders while making a positive impact in Peruvian society. We hope our interns to be passionate people who understand the importance of this 6 weeks for creating a better Peru and a better Latin America.
About Peru
Peru is an extremely diverse country, it has a huge variety of scenery thanks to it's geography, which also provides it with a wide range of natural resources. Part of this ancient society still lives today in each town and can be seen through the customs of the people and the Peruvian culture. A trip to Peru takes you back in time and allows you to rediscover facts about Peru such as the exciting lives of the Incas, Chancas, Chachapoyas, Mochicas, and Wari, as well as their great works of art, their fiestas, the roots of their social
strength and the energy of their people.
About National University of San Marcos
Is one of the most important and respect higher - education institutions in Peru. Also Is the oldest University in America (1551). San Marcos has 60 academic professional schools, organized into 20 faculties. The student body consists of over 30,000 undergraduate the university has also a number of public institutions under its government such as the San Marcos Cultural Center and the Museum of Natural History of Lima. San Marcos is also recognized for the quality of its curricular contents and a competitive admission process.
Our Projects
Impacta Hoy Project
Impacta Hoy is a national project by AIESEC in Peru. The project has the goal of giving middle school aged children tools that will allow them to be agents of change in their reality, finding solutions to the problems in their community. Our goal is that the children have the capacity to generate at least one concrete action that will solve a real problem in their surroundings. We want children to understand they are part of the solution to the problem affecting their communities, and encourage them to take and active role and Objectives Impact Today!

EcoChange Project
With the project Eco Change we look for Strenghtening the environmental knowledge Locally and Globally, promoting good environmental practices to teenagers, this is made through coaches, discussions and the realization of different activities which are focused on the awareness of UN’s sustainable development goals.

emPOWER Project
emPOWER strives for working with vulnerable population about the importance of the women and their leadership role, boosting tolerance and gender equality, its main focus is to achieve the role transformation, self-awareness and self confidence in women, transforming them into active individuals which will contribute with the development of the country through an equal environment. There is no limitations regarding gender, everyone has the right to the same opportunities, and the role of women for leading the change is vital for creating a better Peru.

Raise your Voice Project
The project wants to bring multiculturalism to schools and potencialize the personal trenghts of young people based on confidence in themselves, love of the others, team work and leadership, as to diminish bulliyng among students. We hope to see the students involved in the projects gaining confidence and Raising Their Voices not only for themselves , but for the things that matter to them.

Learn and Live Project
Learn and Live is a project that wants to bring knowledge about new languages and captivate the interest of peruvian students about learning and getting to know more about different cultures. The interns will be working english, in order to improve the students knowledge on said language. The lessons will be customized to acomodate the level of knowledge and interests of each class, making sure to always connect the learning of a new language to the interns own culture and other countries around the world. We hope that at the end of the project the student will not only have improved their language skill but are more aware about global issues and other countries and cultures.
