Paige has been a four year member of our band as well as Nautical Star Theatre Company. This year she has served as Drum Major and a New Jersey State Thespian Officer. She has been inducted into National Honor Society as well as the International Thespian Honor Society. Paige is a member of the wind essemble as well as our school rock band, The Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Paige will be attending Ocean County College after graduation and is interested in studying either Psychology, Journalism, Forensics, or Music.

Rutva serves as the President of FBLA and the Treasurer of Key Club. He has been inducted into National Honor Society and is active in Math League, Root N' Shoots, Student Council, and our varsity Swim Team. Rutva placed fourth in New Jersey at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in both 2020 and 2021. He will be attending Princeton University after graduation as a Computer Science major.

Congratulations to the Girls Bowling Team for placing 2nd in the NJ State Central Group 4 Bowling Tournament and qualifying for the New Jersey State Team Tournament of Champions. Congratulations to Katelynn Berger for winning the High Series and Top Individual Qualifier for the Tournament of Champions. Good Luck this Thursday in the Shore Conference Team Tournament!

This March, schools across New Jersey will administer the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment (NJGPA) in English language arts (ELA) and Mathematics. The assessments for English language arts (ELA) and Mathematics will be administered to students in grade 11 for the purpose of meeting the state graduation assessment requirement. The state-mandated NJGPA will be administered in our district from March 14 through March 17, 2022 with make-up dates from March 21 through March 24, 2022. DUAL ENROLLMENT - REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FEBRUARY 17

For the Spring semester, the following classes are eligible for Dual Enrollment credit at OCC: AP English Language, AP English Lit, Pre Calc Honors, Statistics AP and Honors, Web Page Design and AP Computer Science. High School Scheduling Information for the 2022-23 School Year - THE PROCESS BEGINS THIS WEEK!!

The Guidance Office will be making visits to student's history classes to go over their scheduling options for the next school year.

10th Graders: Monday, 2/7

11th Graders: Tuesday, 2/8

Intermediate North: Wednesday, 2/9

9th Graders: Thursday, 2/10

Intermediate East: Friday, 2/11

The Parent Portal will open on Friday, 2/11 at 3PM. At this time, parents and students will be able to enter class requests for next year. The portal will close on Friday, 2/25 at 3PM. To expedite the scheduling process and give your student the best chance to receive their requested classes, please be sure to enter requests into the portal during this window.

Beginning on Monday, 2/28, the Guidance Counselors will begin meeting with students one on one to go over their course requests in the parent portal. STUDENTS WITHOUT COURSE REQUESTS AND WHO DO NOT MEET WITH THEIR COUNSELOR WILL HAVE CLASSES SELECTED FOR THEM BASED ON AVAILABILITY.
