S.A.T is a team that meets to create academic and behavior support plans for students who are in need of extra accommodations in order to be successful in school.
W.I.N Time is "What I Need", this takes place during seminar beginning on September 12. During W.I.N Time, students are directed by their teachers where to go in order to receive either additional support or enrichment.
Raising Teens
The only thing tougher than raising a teen is being a teen. They make mistakes, sometimes they are rude, and sometimes they amaze you with their kindness and creativity. The best news is that there is always another day and another chance to get things right. We all survived it and you will survive parenting them through it, too!
Love,
Teachers everywhere.
What is O.T.I?
Typically O.T.I checks occur on Mondays, due to Labor Day the first O.T.I check will occur on Tuesday, September 6. Students' grades will be reviewed and students in danger of failing a course, or who already failing a course will meet with Mrs. Conley. We will create a plan and share the plan with the student's parents. If the student follows through and completes the plan as outlined, then the student is considered in "good standing". If the student does not follow the plan, then the student will be restricted from extra-curricular activities until the student achieves "good standing". Students that repeatedly fail to complete their plan will face additional disciplinary measures. The process reoccurs each week and students move on and off the list as their grades are updated.
While the process can seem frustrating to some students, the goal is for all students to make quick progress and move off the O.T.I list as quickly as possible.
School Safety
How can you help?
Please continue to report your concerns, tips, and rumors - we welcome your input. Our goal is to prevent issues, rather than always having to react.
