Fall conferences
Thank you to those who have signed up and attended conferences so far. Today is our last day. If you missed signing up you can contact your child's teacher via email to arrange a time to talk together. You can use our school directory to find the teachers emails, but generally, emails are firstname.lastname@ahschools.us.
A BIG thanks also to those families that have donated food and desserts for the conference nights. Those treats make a big difference to our teachers on those long days, and we appreciate the generosity!
Fall fundraiser
We are off to a fabulous start to our Fall fundraiser. Thank you to all those families who are participating in some way, either selling chocolate bars or through direct donation. If parents want to pick up another box of chocolate, there will be PTO volunteers at a table by the main office from 4:00-8:00PM tonight, our last night of conferences. Even if you don't have conferences, you can swing by Door #1 to retrieve more boxes tonight, if it is more convenient for you.
(Please remind students not to open the boxes, or sell the bars at school or on the school buses.)
Breakfast updates
The number of tardies has dramatically decreasing! Thank you for helping our Stars get to class on time. Please continue to prioritize getting to school at 8:50 if your child purchases school breakfast, and remind them to use their time well so that they are out the cafe door at 9:10 and in class by the 9:15 bell.
Kindness poster contest
Students will soon be receiving information and a piece of poster paper for the district's annual KINDNESS POSTER contest. Encourage your students to get creative and design a poster around the theme "There is POWER in Kindness". Posters need to be turned into the office by November 1st. The winners from each grade will go on to participate in the district-wide competition.
Fire prevention poster contest
The Coon Rapids Fire Department visited our younger grades today with information about fire prevention. As always, it was an entertaining yet informative demonstration by our local fire fighters to students in K-1 and 2-3!
Our 4th & 5th graders are invited to participate in the annual FIRE PREVENTION POSTER CONTEST. These poster submissions need to be in to the office by October 28th. A winner from each school will be picked up on November 29th, IN A FIRE TRUCK, and taken to the fire station for a pizza party with the other winners.
