Gratitude and Celebration!
Thanks to the Papapanos family for re-scheduling breakfast to this morning since we were closed last Wednesday! What a great way to start the week!

Congrats to Lucas Hastings who recently competed in regionals for golf! What an accomplishment to qualify since he's only been golfing a year!!!
Many thanks to the following students who donated to the Kids Cancer Foundation fall harvest food drive. Announcements and Updates
Each year on November 7, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation marks National Day for the Victims of Communism to remember those who have suffered and died at the hands of communist regimes in the past, and to stand for those who are fighting for freedom today. Let us take a moment to appreciate our freedoms and remember those who are not as blessed to live in a free nation.
Mrs. Gribble's GRA1129 Visualization Basics class is creating board games for their final projects. They are looking for 4-6 old board games that they can repurpose. If you have any old games (they can be missing pieces or a little worn) that you are looking to donate, please bring them this week! We appreciate anything you might be able to donate.
NHS is holding a Give Back night at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza on US1 in Stuart. Come eat there or pick up food on Nov. 15 between 11 am and 9:00 pm and tell them you want to support the Clark NHS toy drive.
Interested in a career in law? Want to see what Judges do in court? Dr. Bonds is taking a group of students to visit the Courthouse in downtown Stuart to meet with a Judge and to observe court on the morning of November 16th. If you are interested in going, let her know immediately. Transportation will be provided from Clark.
Military Fair will be held this Thursday, Nov. 17 at Clark during lunch. Come and learn more about careers in our US Military.
In honor of World Kindness day that was yesterday, SGA invites you to explore the large Take What You Need display for inspirational words and kind thoughts to help you find peace and joy in the upcoming week. Life can be stressful - we hope you find something that resonates with you and helps you feel happy!

Attention seniors- The IRSC scholarship application has opened and the standard application deadline is coming soon. Don’t delay! Help is available on Monday and Friday mornings at the front desk blocks 1 and 2.
We are thrilled to participate in the Students4H2O plastic bag recycling contest. The school that collects the most (MUST collect a MINIMUM of 5,000 bags) will win two recycled adirondack chairs for their school. Bring in your plastic bags to the bin near the front office. Let's try to get at least 2500 before Winter Break!
Crane Award nominations needed for November! Has a staff member done something specific to make your life at Clark better? Each month, two staff members are awarded the traveling crane based on your submissions. Email ljudd@irsc.edu someone at Clark has made a difference this year for you/ your student! I need these before 11/28, please.
Lunch Form to order lunch - This MUST be submitted before 9 am each morning in order to have a lunch here at school. If lunch is ordered, you MUST come and pick it up. If you do not pick it up, you will be charged $5. This is a new requirement from the MCSD since our lunches have to be pre-ordered and they cannot have waste. Parents and students- DO NOT ORDER if you are not going to come pick it up!

School Sponsored Spring Break Educational Trip Opportunity
Clark students have a tremendous opportunity to visit the nation’s capital and its largest city with your classmates during Spring Break. We will start in Washington, D.C. Days 1 and 2 will be in D.C. While there we will visit the Holocaust Museum, The Smithsonian, the Supreme Court, the Capitol, and many other monuments and sites.
A private tour coach will take us to NYC for days 3-5. Wall St., the 9/11 Memorial, Ellis Island, the Empire State Building, a Broadway play, and Little Italy are among the sites we will see during our walking tours.
Other details include: Chaperones are Clark teachers. The ratio will be one chaperone for every 10 students. All dinners are included. Breakfasts will usually be available from the hotels. Lunch will be at student expense. Hotels, coach tour, airfare, admission costs, and the Broadway play are included. We fly from and to Ft. Lauderdale airport.

The next PASS meeting for parents/ guardians is November 16 at 6:00 pm.
We will be sharing about our re-affirmation survey process and school goals, upcoming events and opportunities, as well as learning more about SAT and college planning resources from Class101. Mimi and Mike O'Leary, owners of Class 101 of the Treasure Coast, will share recommendations to make college more affordable.
Mimi and Mike O’Leary work with students to achieve their collegiate goals. Services include college planning, developing the college list, preparing essays and applications, and assisting with scholarship applications. Class 101 also assists students with SAT/ACT test preparation. Class 101 of the Treasure Coast has office locations in Stuart and Port St. Lucie.
Please let us know if you will be able to attend in person or online. I swear I’ll get this online figured out BEFORE the meeting this time!

Volunteer Opportunities
The Women’s Club of Stuart is looking for some volunteers to help guide patrons during their holiday home tour. The information is attached. This group always gives our seniors scholarships, so let’s send them some help and earn service hours!
We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for the Elev8Hope toy drive. Collection box is at the front desk and you will earn service hours for your donations. Make sure to let Mrs. Villwock know what you donate so she can apply the hours.
UNITED WAY holiday project at the MC Fairgrounds needs help DECEMBER 14TH AND 15TH. It's that time of year when kind hearted volunteers come together making spirits bright for families needing help in Martin County. As the local Toys for Tots coordinating agency, many weeks of daily counting, building, sorting, RE-counting, and decorating finally will be distributed. Now we are looking for special volunteers to sign up and assist us during distribution on Wednesday, December 14th and Thursday, December 15th. Volunteers need to be patient, be of holiday cheer, able to follow directions, stay for their entire shift, and be over the age of 18. In addition to in-person tutoring, the ASC’s virtual tutoring schedule for the semester is now available. Students can receive virtual help in many disciplines, including math, science, English, and economics, among others.

Unauthorized Apps
Students who have downloaded unauthorized apps will be receiving an email next week. If this is your second warning, there will be disciplinary steps taken. Students are NEVER to install ANY applications to their school computer without administrator approval.
