Post-Secondary Planning Seminar
PSAT
PSAT will be on Wed, Oct 14. Cost is $20, Juniors and Sophomores are encouraged to take this test. Scores earned by juniors can qualify them for the National Merit Scholars Program or the National Merit and National Achievement scholarship. Sophomores, this is good experience! Pay for PSAT before or after school in the College and Career Center.

Sparkman Cross Country
On Saturday, Sparkman’s Cross Country Team competed in the Chickasaw Trails Invitational, which is the largest meet the team participates in during the season with 100 teams registered. Placing in the JV Boys division were Freshmen John David Ray taking second place, Freshman Shafi Muhammad 14th, and 7th grader Austin Al’Dijaili in 28th. Varsity Boy’s saw Junior Jake Russell placing with a 28th place finish.
A large number of the team set new personal records for the meet. They include Varsity Girls Juniors Hailey Brown, Kirby Brown and Megan Mullins and Varsity Boys Junior Jake Russell; Sophomores Jake Maier and Liam Nelson.
Junior Varsity Boys setting new PRs were Freshmen John David Ray, Riley Edwards, Hayden Miller and Kyler Waters along with 8th graders Ryan Wilson and Isaac Thomas.
Congratulations Senators and Good Luck on Tuesday as you compete in the Randolph School XC Classic at UAH also known as the “Mud Run”. Come out and cheer on your Senators, the meet starts at 3:45 pm on the UAH campus.

If you feel you qualify, we encourage you to complete the application on line. If you complete an application on line, you will not need to complete a paper application when returning to school this August.
- The 2016 Senator Yearbook is on sale now. The cost is $80. You can order at My School Fees (link on SHS homepage) or in Room 127 before of after school.
