Freedom of Speech
What is it?
Freedom of Speech provides us with permission to speak our minds and share our opinions freely. If we have different ideas or opinions than others, we are not to be prosecuted for them, but instead respected.
Freedom of Speech includes more:
Freedom of Religon
We are allowed to practice any religion of our choice. We are allowed to worship freely. Law and Religious are seen as separate things.
*This does not give you the right to break the law for religious beliefs
Freedom of Protest
We are allowed to protest our opinions, but it must be a peaceful protest. We are allowed, but not limited to: Petitions, marches, and gatherings.
Freedom of Assembly
We may gather together in public places. Whether it be for religion, protest, education, or any other legal and nonviolent reason, you are allowed to use public buildings for gathering.
